RiverWatch West

May 16 @ 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

Free

The RiverWatch Team goes out every month to collect water quality data to document the health of the San Diego River. These trends inform the management of the River, and the RiverWatch teams can also serve as an early alert system for emerging issues. We welcome you joining the team this month to help us continue this important effort (no experience necessary!), and we hope you’ll enjoy the experience and join again in the future.

This small but mighty team collects samples at 9 different locations in East County and the West Team goes to 7 locations in San Diego, led by our very amazing volunteer leaders. The team drives between locations, and there is a short walk/hike from the cars to the sampling locations at each site. If you are over 18 and vaccinated, carpooling options may be available, or you can caravan in your own car.

Additional Notes:

RSVPs are required so we can be sure to have the right number of volunteers. You will receive additional information about the event once you RSVP.

Please note this is a 12-year and up event.

Please wear sturdy shoes, sun protection is recommended.

Please bring any water and snacks you may need for this 4-hour event!

This event is for the West County team and will meet at the San Diego River Park Foundation office: 4891 Pacific Hwy #110, San Diego, CA 92110.
