RiverWatch East- Help Monitor the Health of the River
May 17 @ 8:30 am - 12:30 pm
FreeThis a great opportunity to come learn about this vital program that monitors the health of the San Diego River year-round. These trends inform the management of the River, and the RiverWatch teams can also serve as an early alert system for emerging issues. You can help contribute to this important effort (no experience necessary!), and we hope you’ll enjoy the experience and join again in the future!
This small but mighty team collects samples at 9 different locations in East County and the West Team goes to 7 locations in San Diego, led by our very amazing volunteer leaders. The team drives between locations, and there is a short walk/hike from the cars to the sampling locations at each site. If you are over 18 and vaccinated, carpooling options may be available, or you can caravan in your own car.
Additional Notes:
If you sign up here, please do NOT sign up on the San Diego River Park Foundations Event calendar!
