Mission Valley Kayak and River Bank Clean-Up

Volunteers and kayakers needed!
This is a special opportunity to kayak along the San Diego River and have fun while helping to remove hard-to-reach stormwater debris floating in the water. We need paddlers who can bring their own kayak, paddle, and life vest. Kayakers will be in the water from 10 am – noon. 10 spots are available!
We also need shoreline volunteers to help pick up litter along the shore.
We’re looking to accomplish a trash free river in this area by May. We hope you can join this vital effort!
Due to the nature of this event kayakers should be 18 and over, but volunteers of all ages are welcomed to join on the shoreline!

What to bring:
- Please wear long sleeves, long pants, and sturdy closed-toed shoes for protection
- Please wear a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen
- All necessary tools will be provided, but feel free to bring your own gloves if you prefer
- Please bring a reusable water bottle, so we can limit single-use plastic
