Watershed & Wilderness: Exploring the San Diego River at Mission Trails

To celebrate San Diego River Days, Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation will host two guided hikes showcasing the park’s rich history and diverse ecology. This hike will explore the area near the dam and head toward Oak Canyon, offering insights into the watershed’s unique ecosystem. The hike will be approximately 2 miles on an out-and-back trail with mild elevation and some uneven surfaces.

Location: Meet at the Old Mission Dam, 1 Father Junipero Serra Trail, San Diego, CA 92119, The entrance to Old Mission Dam is located 0.7 miles down Father Junipero Serra Trail on the right-hand side when coming from the Northeast (Santee) entrance of the park off Mission Gorge Road.
