Clean & Green River Trash Clean-Up

Looking for a volunteer opportunity that allows you to support a healthy river while interacting with a group of like-minded people? Come join one of The San Diego River Park Foundation’s flagship volunteer teams to assist with River Clean-Ups!  Volunteers are needed to remove trash and pollution from this special 51-acre ecological preserve, the Mission Valley Preserve.  The event will stage from Cottonwood Grove, so volunteers can park at the Presidio Little League Fields and head west to find the entrance to Cottonwood Grove.

Event Preparation:

  • Family-friendly (all ages) – there will be a family-friendly team at this event to tackle areas suitable for kids
  • Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to check in and collect supplies
  • Closed-toe shoes required
  • Long pants required
  • Sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses) recommended
  • Bring your own reusable water bottle
  • Event tools and supplies will be provided
  • There are no restrooms available at this event
  • Participating in this event will include walking on uneven terrain and/or some stopping and bending
  • Community service hours can be verified for volunteers at this event
