SUMMARY:Watershed & Wilderness: Exploring the San Diego River at Mission Trails
DESCRIPTION:To celebrate San Diego River Days\, Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation will host two guided hikes showcasing the park’s rich history and diverse ecology. This hike will explore the area near the dam and head toward Oak Canyon\, offering insights into the watershed’s unique ecosystem. The hike will be approximately 2 miles on an out-and-back trail with mild elevation and some uneven surfaces. \nLocation: Meet at the Old Mission Dam\, 1 Father Junipero Serra Trail\, San Diego\, CA 92119\, The entrance to Old Mission Dam is located 0.7 miles down Father Junipero Serra Trail on the right-hand side when coming from the Northeast (Santee) entrance of the park off Mission Gorge Road. \nFor event questions and information: Phone:(619) 668-3281\, or email: mtrp@mtrp.org \nRegistration: No RSVP is required\, you can just show up\, but we would still like to know if you plan to attend.
