Self-Guided Hike to the Source of the San Diego River

Looking for a self-guided adventure? Head up to the Santa Ysabel Nature Center to pick up a self-guided hike packet and hit the trail.
On your self-guided hike, you will get to take in beautiful views of the Santa Ysabel Valley while you hike to an overlook spot, where you can see the source of the San Diego River.
The self-guided hike packet will help you learn all about the plants, wildlife, and history of the area on this 5-mile hike. This is a moderate to difficult hike so please wear sturdy shoes and bring plenty of water.
Self-guided packets will be available for pick up Monday-Thursday from 10am to 5pm and Friday-Sunday from 9am to 5pm at the Santa Ysabel Nature Center.
Dogs on a leash are welcome.
