Restore Rueda Canyon

May 11 at 8:00 am - 11:00 am

Free

In 2017, San Diego Canyonlands was awarded a Prop 1 grant through the San Diego River Conservancy to restore and enhance Rueda Canyon. Almost 400 non-native palm trees were removed in 2018. Help continue native habitat restoration in Rueda Canyon for wildlife and humans alike by removing more invasive plants. There is also an optional nature walk, which is approximately 1.5 miles round trip.

Bring plenty of water, sunscreen and a hat. Wear closed-toe comfortable shoes and long pants. Tools and gloves provided if you do not bring your own. No bathrooms on site.

Suitable for adults and chaperoned children ages 10+.

Meet at the northwest corner of Tierrasanta Blvd and Rueda Drive. Street parking available on Rueda Drive.

Presented by Friends of Tierrasanta Canyons and San Diego Canyonlands
