For the Birds – Essential to Endangered

May 13 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Free

San Diego Bird Alliance and San Diego River Park Foundation

From the ocean at Dog Beach to the Protected Estuary, mammals, reptiles, and birds coexist in the diverse habitat of the San Diego River. Discover endangered birds that visit during their migratory routes, along with those that make the San Diego River their permanent home. Learn how to protect this delicate ecosystem and explore the unique world above and around the San Diego River. Together with our San Diego Bird Alliance partners, and coinciding with the San Diego River Mouth Habitat Restoration event, we will demonstrate how everyone can safely coexist within this fragile estuary. Join us for bird identification and hands-on activities illustrating how all can harmoniously live together in this critical ecosystem.
