Family Boulder Creek Bonanza Outdoor Exploration – POSTPONED

May 19 at 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER. PLEASE JOIN US ON JUNE 1 AT 9AM.

Look for frogs, meet animals face-to-face, learn about harvesting a wild salad, and explore The San Diego River Park Foundation’s Boulder Creek Preserve with nature guides. Open to kids and adults of all ages, this event will allow you to experience the headwaters in a new and exciting way. Bring your lunch and enjoy a creekside lunch with your family.

Boulder Creek Preserve is 13.2 acres of conserved land located in the middle of Boulder Creek, a major tributary of the San Diego River. The preserve is an amazing ecosystem with much history.

Due to the preserve’s remote location, we will meet at 9:00 am at Park & Ride Lot #29, located at 7920 Japatul Valley Rd, Descanso, CA 91916, to carpool/caravan to the site. The event begins at 10:00 am. RSVP below for the full event details.

Please wear sturdy hiking shoes and sun protection. Bring water, a picnic blanket, and lunch food.

This event is suitable for adults and children ages 5+.
