Explore Nighttime and the Night Sky Along the San Diego River at Grant Park

Join DarkSky San Diego County for a short presentation on light pollution and its impact on wildlife and nocturnal creatures living near the San Diego River. After sunset, we’ll learn about night vision and search for celestial objects in our urban night sky. Bring your binoculars or telescope if you have one!

We’ll also dive into the fascinating world of moths with Biology Professor, Hector Valtierra, by using our UV lighting station to attract and observe them up close.
