El Monte Valley Cleanup

Join the Allied Climbers of San Diego and The San Diego River Park Foundation as we partner to remove trash and illegal dumping from the riverbed, recreational trails, and roadside in El Monte Valley. Enjoy the spectacular views of El Cajon Mountain, have fun with fellow nature lovers and ensure a healthier river park and watershed for wildlife and the community!
Volunteers will be staging from El Monte County Park. This cleanup will include some work along the roadside, and is appropriate for adults and older youth 14+. Gloves and clean-up tools will be provided!
Get ready to join us:
- Closed toe shoes and long pants are required
- Please wear sun protection like sunscreen, hat and sunglasses
- To reduce our reliance on single-use plastics, please bring your own reusable water bottle and a way to carry it during the clean-up
- We encourage all volunteers to wear high-visibility colors. We will provide safety vests for volunteers working near the road.
