The San Diego River Artists Alliance creates art inspired by the San Diego River and its ecosystem. Artwork about the San Diego River in various media, including oil, acrylic, watercolor, pencil, glass, fiber, ceramics, paper tapestry, and photography will be on exhibit and for sale. A percentage of sales is donated to the San Diego River Park Foundation.
An art and craft activity making bats will be conducted by the education team who is also sponsoring a bat walk immediately following the reception. Come be inspired by Art and Nature.
The Bat Walk will start at the River Studio. The walk crosses Qualcomm way heading west along the river trail and returns back to the Studio. We use echolocation devices to “hear” the bats and often you see them as they fly by.
